GoHighLevel Email Marketing Updates: AI Editor, Pre-Send Spam Check, Domain Warm-Up and Inbox Preview

28 October 2026 7 min read Urooj Shafait, Urooj Labs

Short answer: HighLevel's LevelUp Day 2026 roundup includes a big batch of email updates. Three are AI tools: an Email AI editor that drafts and refines emails using your Brand Board, Email Sequences with AI that builds a multi-step journey from one goal, and A/B testing with Email AI. The rest are about getting into the inbox: a pre-send spam check, automated domain warm-up, Inbox Preview for real email clients, email verification during import, mobile-only styling, faster builders and per-brand notification domains for SaaS agencies.

Status check: everything here comes from HighLevel's official LevelUp Day 2026 roundup and the HighLevel changelog. The changelog lists the three AI tools as Labs features, so you switch them on in Settings > Labs. HighLevel does not label the other items as beta. These aren't in my account yet, so this is based on HighLevel's release notes, not my own testing. Check your sub-account before you promise anything to a client.

Most agencies don't lose email results because of bad copy. They lose them in the inbox: spam folders, cold domains, broken layouts in Outlook and dead addresses in imported lists. That's why I think the deliverability half of this batch matters as much as the AI half.

The three new Email AI tools (Labs)

1. Email AI editor

HighLevel says the AI Editor uses your Brand Board to help you draft and refine email content through conversational prompts. In plain words: you describe the email, it writes a draft in your brand style, and you keep chatting to change it.

2. Email Sequences with AI

Email Sequences automatically generates a multi-step email journey from a single goal, according to HighLevel. Instead of writing five follow-ups one by one, you give it the goal and get the whole sequence to review and edit.

3. A/B testing with Email AI

HighLevel says AI-powered A/B testing creates and tests content variations for you and picks the winner by open rate or click rate. The changelog entry mentions up to four variations.

Here's how I'd use the three together: build the sequence with AI, tighten each email in the editor, then run an A/B test on the first email's subject line, because that's the one every lead sees.

Deliverability: the updates that protect your sender reputation

Pre-send spam check for campaigns

Before you send an Email Marketing campaign, HighLevel can now check it for spam risks. It looks at both your sender setup and the email content, flags deliverability problems and spam triggers, gives an overall spam severity rating and suggests fixes. I would make this a required step before any client campaign goes out.

Automated email domain warm-up

The LC Email System now has a built-in warm-up for dedicated sending domains, so you don't need a third-party warm-up tool. HighLevel says it creates synthetic mailboxes, slowly raises your daily sending volume with natural-looking threaded conversations, marks emails as important, rescues them from spam and shows a domain health score in settings.

Email verification during contact import

On the last step of Contacts > Import Contacts there's a new checkbox that verifies email addresses as they come in, so invalid ones are caught before your first campaign. You track the progress under Bulk Actions. HighLevel's changelog entry pitches it as a way to skip a separate verification tool. For any client who hands you an old spreadsheet, tick this box.

Email Builder upgrades

For SaaS agencies: notification email domains per brand

If you use Multi-Brand Management in SaaS mode, each brand can now have its own notification email domain, so system emails come from that brand's domain instead of a generic sender. HighLevel says you set it up in Agency Settings > Email Services > Dedicated Domain and IP, open the Notification section, then add and verify the DNS records for each brand.

A simple checklist for your next client campaign

  1. Verify the list on import.
  2. Warm up the dedicated domain before the first big send.
  3. Draft with the Email AI editor (once Labs is on), then edit in your own words.
  4. Fix the mobile view and check Inbox Preview in Gmail and Outlook.
  5. Run the pre-send spam check and fix anything it flags.
  6. A/B test the subject line on the first email.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are these email updates part of LevelUp 2026?
Yes. All of the email items in this post are listed in HighLevel's official LevelUp Day 2026 roundup of features and enhancements, and most also have their own entries on the HighLevel changelog.
Can everyone use the Email AI editor, AI sequences and AI A/B testing?
HighLevel's changelog lists the Email AI editor, Email Sequences with AI and A/B Testing with Email AI as Labs features, so look for them under Settings > Labs in your sub-account and switch them on there before you expect to see them.
How does the pre-send spam check work?
HighLevel says it checks both your sender setup and the email content before you send a campaign, flags deliverability problems and spam triggers, gives an overall spam severity rating and suggests fixes.
What do I need for automated domain warm-up?
According to HighLevel, the sub-account needs a verified dedicated sending domain with an issued SSL certificate. Then go to Settings > Email Services > Dedicated Domain and IP, click Start warm-up and set a daily sending goal.
Does Inbox Preview show real email clients?
Yes. HighLevel says Inbox Preview renders your email in actual clients such as Gmail, Outlook and Apple Mail, side by side, so you can catch layout and dark mode problems before sending.
Can I verify email addresses when I import contacts?
Yes. HighLevel added a checkbox on the last step of Contacts > Import Contacts that verifies addresses during the import. You track progress under Bulk Actions.
