Short answer: On 26 October 2026 HighLevel announced three changes to Conversations. You can finally search every message by keyword, across the inbox or inside one thread. Comments on posts you publish through Social Planner (Facebook, Instagram and TikTok for now) are coming to the Team Inbox, where each commenter becomes a contact and you can reply in public or by DM. And there are six new filters, including pipeline stage and last call status. Once social comments reach your account, switch on comment sync in Social Planner settings, add your buying-intent keywords, then work the comments from Conversations.
Rolling out: when I tested my own account on 26 October 2026, keyword search was live, but social comments in Conversations and the new filters (such as Last Call Status and Opportunity Stage) were not showing yet. HighLevel is still rolling these out, so they may not appear in every account yet. The official entries are here: social comments, keyword search and new filters.
Two of these fix things people have complained about for years. Keyword search is, in HighLevel's own words, one of the most requested features on its Ideas Board. And until now, social comments lived in Social Planner while every other conversation lived in the inbox, so a comment asking "how much?" could sit for days because nobody on the sales side ever saw it.
This guide covers what HighLevel released, why it matters if you run client accounts, and exactly how to set each part up. Everything here comes from HighLevel's own changelog and help docs, linked at the bottom. The changes went into the changelog on the opening day of LevelUp 2026, but HighLevel has not labelled them as LevelUp announcements, so I am treating them as normal releases.
What HighLevel released
1. Social comments in the Team Inbox
According to the Social Comments in Conversations changelog entry:
- Comments show up in Conversations alongside SMS, email and DMs, with the commenter's name or handle, a preview, the platform and a timestamp. A Social Comments filter pulls them all into one view.
- The original post comes with it. Each comment conversation shows the post thumbnail, caption, social account, platform and a View Post link.
- Commenters become contacts automatically, and repeat commenters are matched to their existing contact so you do not get duplicates.
- Public reply or private DM. You can reply under the comment, or use Send DM to move the chat into a normal DM thread.
- High-intent comments can be prioritised using keywords you choose, such as "price", "interested" or "how much", and comments that contain questions.
- Agency and sub-account controls. Agency admins control sync for eligible sub-accounts, and each sub-account chooses which platforms sync.
HighLevel lists Facebook, Instagram and TikTok as supported at launch, with LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest, Threads, Bluesky and Community coming soon.
Social comments in Conversations were not showing in my own account yet on 26 October 2026, so this may not be in every account yet. Check the official changelog entry for the latest.
2. Keyword search in Conversations
The keyword search changelog entry adds search at two levels:
- Across the inbox: type a word or phrase and see every conversation where it was mentioned, with a count and a highlighted preview. The same box still takes a contact name, email or phone number.
- Inside one conversation: every match is highlighted, a counter shows where you are, and arrows jump between matches.
Results can be filtered by date range, channel (email, SMS, Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram), direction, owner, attachments and followers.
3. Six new inbox filters
The expanded filtering changelog entry adds filters for Channel Account (a specific phone number, Facebook page or Instagram account), Last Call Status (such as completed, no answer or voicemail), Contact Type (leads, customers or your own custom types), Opportunity Pipeline, Opportunity Stage and Opportunity Status (open, won, lost or abandoned). They can be combined with the existing filters using AND or OR.
These new filters were not in my own account yet on 26 October 2026, so they may not appear in every account yet. See the official changelog entry.
Why this matters for agencies
- Comments stop being a separate job. Once this reaches their account, a client's front desk that already works the inbox will see comments without learning another screen. That alone tends to shorten reply times.
- Social feeds the CRM. Once comment sync is on, every commenter becomes a contact, so you can tag them, add them to a pipeline and report on how many leads came from social engagement, not just from ads and forms.
- Missed calls get a proper callback list. Filtering by Last Call Status of no answer or voicemail gives your client's team a ready-made list to work every morning.
- Sales reps can work by deal stage. Filtering by Opportunity Stage, for example everyone at "Proposal Sent", turns the inbox into a follow-up list.
- Fewer "what did we tell them?" moments. Searching for a quoted price or a promised date inside a long thread now takes seconds, which matters when a client disputes something.
Before you switch on comment sync
Comment sync creates contacts automatically, so think for a minute before you turn it on in a client account.
- Agree it with your client. Some businesses will not want every commenter, including people who just leave an emoji, added to their CRM. Ask first.
- Check their privacy notice. If they are now storing commenters as contacts, their privacy information may need to say so. That is their call, but it is worth raising, especially for UK and EU businesses.
- Check where posts are published from. Only comments on posts published through Social Planner sync. If the client posts straight from the Facebook or Instagram app, those comments will not appear.
- Review your comment workflows. HighLevel says existing comment workflow triggers keep working as before. List them so you know what will fire when comments start landing as contacts, and make sure nothing sends an automatic reply twice.
- Check Instagram connections. HighLevel notes that Instagram DM and Instagram interactive messenger workflow actions are not supported for Instagram accounts connected through Facebook in Social Planner.
Step by step: social comments in Conversations
These steps follow HighLevel's changelog entry and help docs. The feature was not in my own account yet on 26 October 2026, so if you cannot find these settings, it has probably not reached your account yet.
Step 1: Check the agency-level switch
As an agency admin, go to Agency Settings and then Social Comments. This is where you control comment sync for eligible sub-accounts. HighLevel's changelog does not spell out what makes a sub-account eligible, so if a sub-account is missing from the list, check that its social accounts are connected in Social Planner first.
Step 2: Choose which platforms sync comments
Inside the sub-account, go to Marketing, Social Planner, Settings, Comments. Choose which connected social accounts should send comments to Conversations. If you are testing, start with one platform.
Step 3: Add buying-intent keywords
In the same settings, add the words that signal someone wants to buy. HighLevel's examples are "price", "interested" and "how much". I would add a few that fit the client's trade too, such as "book", "available", "quote" or "cost". You can also prioritise comments that contain questions.
Step 4: Reply publicly or move to a DM
Open Conversations and use the Social Comments filter. Open a comment and you will see the original post above it. Then choose:
- Public Reply for anything other people would also want to know, such as opening hours or whether a service is available in their area.
- Send DM for anything personal: prices for their specific job, addresses, booking details or complaints. A short public reply such as "I have sent you a message" keeps the thread friendly.
If you want an answer to Facebook comments today, while the inbox feature rolls out, a workflow can already do it. This Short shows the setup I use: a Facebook comment trigger, an instant reply under the comment, a Messenger follow-up, then Conversation AI takes over the chat.

Step by step: keyword search
Step 5: Search the inbox by keyword
In Conversations, click the search icon at the top of the conversation list. Type a keyword, phrase, name, email or phone number. Results appear as you type. Click one to open that conversation at the matching message. Use the filter icon on the results to narrow by date, channel, direction, owner, attachments or followers.
Step 6: Search inside one conversation
Open a conversation and click the search icon in its header. Every match is highlighted and the up and down arrows move between them. If you came from an inbox search, the keyword is already filled in.
Step by step: the new filters
Step 7: Build filtered views with the new filters
The new filters were not in my own account yet on 26 October 2026. If they are missing from your Filter Type list, they have probably not reached you yet. See the official changelog entry.
In Conversations, click the Filters icon at the top of the conversation list, open the Filter Type dropdown and choose one of the new filters. Select one or more values and click Apply. Add more filters to combine conditions, and use Clear to reset.
Here are four views I would set up for most service businesses:
| View | Filters to use | Who it helps |
|---|---|---|
| Morning callback list | Last Call Status: no answer or voicemail | Front desk or reception |
| Deals waiting on a reply | Opportunity Status: open, plus Opportunity Stage: your proposal or quote stage | Sales team |
| Existing customers only | Contact Type: customer | Support and account managers |
| One phone line or page | Channel Account: the number or page | Agencies running several numbers or brands in one sub-account |
A small note from HighLevel worth knowing: if a contact has opportunities in more than one pipeline, the conversation shows up when at least one of them matches.
HighLevel also shipped CRM changes on 27 October 2026, including Smart List filters for associated companies and records. My guide to GoHighLevel calculated fields, companies and associations covers them step by step.
Things to watch out for
- Natively published posts do not sync. This is the one that will confuse clients most. If they post from their phone, those comments stay on the platform.
- Expired connections stop syncing. HighLevel says that if a social account connection expires, you need to reconnect it in Social Planner settings to resume. Add a monthly check to your client maintenance list.
- Switching off does not clean up. Turning comment sync off stops new comments, but existing contacts, conversations and workflows stay. Decide before you switch it on, not after.
- Do not let AI reply to every comment. If you have Conversation AI or a CloseBot agent on DMs, test carefully before letting anything answer social comments automatically, because a public reply is seen by everyone.
- If you do not see it yet, check again in a few days. HighLevel is rolling these out, and in my own account on 26 October 2026 only keyword search had arrived.
Pair it with the new Social Planner workflow trigger
HighLevel also released a Social Planner Posts workflow trigger that fires when a post is approved, rejected, scheduled, published or fails. Put that together with comments in the inbox and you can run social from start to finish inside HighLevel: an alert when a post fails, a note to the team when it goes out, and the comments and leads landing in Conversations.
